THE FOUNDATION OF THE MISSOURI UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
The mission of The Foundation of the Missouri United Methodist Church is to fund the ongoing missions and ministries of the Missouri United Methodist Church.
The Foundation of the Missouri United Methodist Church was formed in 1961. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation and was formed for the purpose of aiding and developing the religious, charitable, and educational activities of the Missouri United Methodist Church. The Foundation of the Missouri United Methodist Church is managed by its Foundation Board comprised of members of MUMC.
Over the years the Foundation has received memorial gifts from family and friends of church members or other generous donors. The Foundation accounts are managed by professional investment managers. The amount of money available for supporting the church and grant requests is based on investment return. Gifts made to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent provided by the law.
The Foundation awards grants from its funds annually in January and July. Grants are available for seminary scholarships, MUMC high school seniors’ post secondary education, church related needs such as facility maintenance, mission work, youth and college ministry and community outreach.

High School Senior Scholarship - March 15 Deadline
The Foundation of MUMC Board of Directors is excited to announce that applications for scholarships are now available for graduating high school seniors who are church members pursuing any major attending college in the fall. Interested applicants should complete the application by March 15.
Seminary Scholarship - June 30 Deadline
The Foundation of MUMC Scholarship for Seminary Students is available to college students who have completed at least two years of college work and who need financial assistance while preparing for church-related vocations. The recipient may attend any school recognized by the United Methodist Church and by the Board of Directors of The Foundation of MUMC for educating persons in religious-related careers or seminary. Preference is given to members of the Missouri United Methodist Church in Columbia. Interested applicants should complete the application below. Submit the application below to be considered.
Seminary Scholarship Application
Grant - June 1 and December 1 Deadlines
The Foundation of MUMC makes available grants for selected groups and missions, with preference to those groups and missions that support active missions of the Missouri United Methodist Church and certain community-based activities and organizations.
The Foundation does not fund ongoing projects or programs. Funding beyond one year requires an annual application. Submit the application below to be considered.
